Greater Toronto Chinese Baptist Church - Shawn Sun (injoyshawn@gmail.com)
After serving the immigrants and international students, especially the Chinese for seven years in Toronto, God sent me, Shawn Sun, to Vancouver, BC. I became a Southern Baptist, and learned about church planting in Vancouver; eventually I became a church planter. In June 2008 God called us back to Toronto. My wife and I believed that God is stirring up a Mandarin church planting movement in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). He wants us and those who will join with us to be involved in reaching the unchurched Chinese for Christ. August 8, 2008 it's a day to be remembered. On that day the Greater Toronto Chinese Baptist Church (GTCBC) had its first meeting. Following the vision that God has given to me, three founding families got together and marked the beginning of a new church plant Greater Toronto Chinese Baptist Church in Toronto, Canada.
