About Piotr: Like many Polish people, I also belonged to the Catholic Church. I went through some religious practices, such as first communion, confessions, and many more. However, I felt that there was something wrong. I felt a spiritual desert in my life. When I was fourteen, I wanted to fill this emptiness. So I started to search in the Bible. Then a special day came for me. While I was traveling by train, I read a Christian book and started to talk to God. During this conversation I realized that all this time I was escaping from God like Jonah. Jesus' words: "unless one is born again" stroked my heart deeply. So, I took a risk and spoke to Jesus: "I receive you as Lord into my heart, be my King all my life. Please make me a new creature". Since that moment I was broken and a big stone (which I now see as sin) was taken away from my heart and I felt blissful peace and knew all my sins were forgiven. I began a new life, my past was closed and all things became new.
